Description: Maine Maritime Funding Association (and our affiliate Block Island Maritime Funding of Rhode Island) is a non-proit organization serving as the boat donation program for maritime charities such as The Apprenticeshop, Friends of Casco Bay, Maine Maritime Museum, Maine Island Trails Association and Penobscot Bay Maritime Museum. Our primary function is funding education progerams in the marine sciences; the development of traditional marine skills such as navigation, sailing and boat building; and protecting the environment and water quality of Maine's coastline.
June 16 2022 Update: With heavy hearts, Phin and I have concluded that we are overwhelmed by the continuing impediments that confront a successful effort and are resigned to join the numerous other efforts that have thrown their hands up. For this reason, the 2022 Maine Boatbuilders Show is officially cancelled.
